Jem! And the Hot Pink Eye Fantasy! XD

Long time no blog! So, recently I was in Texas to visit Courtney and I ended up staying an extra week to be at her fabulous 80s themed graduation party! The outfits were crazy, the smell of flammable hairspray was in the air and the makeup was fabulous! True to the eighties them, myself, Courtney and her sister (somewhat) all did looks that were modeled after of inspired by the 80s cartoon Jem and the holograms! This blog is just about the look I did.

So basically, I did my regular foundation routine and used some of Courtney's Mac eyeshadow base just to give myself that added protection. I rubbed it all over the area that I would be applying makeup to and then I began the actual makeup on my eyes by mapping out the lines of exactly where I wanted everything. I used Look At Me from Heavenly Naturals for the pink around my eyes and my custom color Balnc Blue for the lid and inner corners. Look At Me doesn't like to spread around too easily, so this was a challenge. I basically had to pat it all over the area as opposed to the much easier sweeping motion.

As for the blue, originally I was going to do just blue upper lid liner, but i am not good at upper lid liner. So, instead I made up for it by covering the lid completely with Blanc Blue. I also did the inner coner just to attach the pink to the blue on the bottom. The look was completed by Courtney doing some fabulous and sharp 80s blush on my cheeks.

Next was the hair, which Courtney did. I got a side ponytail with rainbow ribbons and clips and rainbow hair extensions for that extra bit of flavor. Thankfully, I made it through the whole night without touching my eye makeup! That's a first for me! XD And the party was very fun.

Thanks for reading! Peace!
