Just a little pity, if you please.

As mentioned in my previous post, life has been a little shitty to me lately. What better way to make the clouds part and the sun shine than to order a bunch of pity makeup?

To make matters even better, I ordered from my favorite wholesale website, All Cosmetics Wholesale, (who were also having a sale -- yay!) so I got all this stuff for under $30. I normally use them as my MAC resource since their shit is so expensive, but for once I didn't see anything I had to have right now. You can find their website @ http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com.

So let's dip right in, hmm?

Vincent Longo's Venus Envy Trio Eyeshadow

This is a brand I've never heard of before but I was extremely impressed by the presentation and gorgeous colors offered in this eyeshadow trio.

Gorgeous! I've already worn all three of them once and they stayed on quite lovely the whole day. Even the shimmery pink stands out nicely despite how light it is. The other two have a bit of shimmer to them, but it's not really noticeable.

Pop Beauty's Eyeliner Pencil in Ocean

I also picked up an eyeliner pencil from another company I haven't heard of. Pop Beauty caught my eye from the name and some of the vibrant colors they had eyeliner wise. I think they had glosses too, but I'm not a huge fan of gloss to begin with. The pencil came out nice and smooth, no rubbing it between your hands like you're trying to start a fire to get it to heat up. The color is just as vibrant as advertised, so I'm excited to use this soon.

Maybelline's Mineral Power Luminous Blush in True Peach II

Unfortunately I was one of those teenagers that thought blush was for old women who couldn't keep color in their cheeks, so now I have a collection of billions of eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyeliners, etc and only two blushes. It's a crime! Naturally I ordered more and I'm extremely pleased with these two, despite being opposite ends of the pink spectrum.

Maybelline's True Peach II is waaaaay subdued, so this is something I can easily wear on a day-to-day basis. It comes out on my cheeks as really sheen and not too much color at once, which is awesome because I don't like wearing a pound of blush during the daytime. It does take a few swipes to get a good color going, though. Coquette, on the other hand, is mega vibrant and one dab will do ya. It is cream-based blush, which I always have trouble putting on, so that is the only perceivable downside.

And finally, I can never resist lipstick...

Rocket City's Galactic Gloss in Atom

Although I don't like regular gloss, I do appreciate oddly-colored gloss. Again, this was another company I'd never heard of so I decided to give them a try. The brand name and packaging caught my attention; unfortunately I was less than pleased with this crap.

Why is my upper lip darker than everything else you may ask? Because applying this gloss is like applying honey and molasses mixed together on your lips. For a damn gloss it came out patchier than my grandmother's quilt! I could not get it to apply evenly and the worst part was how disgustingly sticky it felt. We're talking the nasty ass gloss those ghetto high school girls with the shaved eyebrows wore.

Stila's High Shine Lip Color in Michaela

I was redeemed by the second lip product I purchased. I've known about Stila for some time now, but didn't try them until I saw their lipsticks on sale at ACW. I have to say, I'm loving this lipstick.

This picture does not do it justice (I tried to take it at night in my bathroom!) so I'll probably re-take another one. In the tube it looks bright enough to reach out and slap you across the face, but on the lips it's surprisingly fitting, at least for my skintone. It glides on easily and is extremely smooth. I put it on without my usual lip balm base and my lips still felt really soft and moisturized.

And that does it for my pity haul!
