So today I was in Auburn, a small-ish town near where I got to college, paying my rent with one of my roommates and afterwards, we decided to go to Pamida. Pamida, for those of you who don't know, is just kind of like a very, very, very tiny Wal-Mart. They have this and that thing you might need without having to drive to said big shopping center. They usually have a very puny movie section and said selection is usually overpriced, even for movies that have been out for a long time (such as the Mulan 2-disc set that was 30 bucks there! Yeah right!), but sometimes they have discounted movies or 5 to 10 dollars bins/sections. It's in these bins that I have found some little treasures!
Now, I am not one for small towns, but in bigger towns and bigger shopping places, you can't really find DVDs that aren't from the last couple of years. Yeah, sometimes in Wal-Mart and Target they have movies that are 5 bucks and you can get some good ones (Like me getting 'Adventures in Babysitting' for 5 bucks and 'The Pebble and the Penguin' for my mom), but mostly they have crappy movies for 5 bucks that no one wants anyways. But in this small town, I always seem to find movies that I didn't even think would be on DVD! I bought Titan A.E, one of my favorite animated movies (haven't seen it, watch it!!) and the Digimon movie each for 6.99! I've never seen the Digimon movie anywhere but garage sales on VHS, so when I saw that I was like 'YAY!' since I love Digimon and with Titan A.E, it's either like... 20 bucks with shipping and handling or out of stock in other places that I've seen it.
This was just a quick blog to share my finds and to say that if you haven't seen Titan A.E, watch it! lol And always, always, always look through discount bins! Especially for DVDs! You never know what goodies lay in wait!
Happy treasure hunting! Peace!
